All six starts on good/good to firm; he's found one too good in 6f Group 2 races on his last three starts and there's the worry the same thing will happen today; however, it's possible the winners he has bumped into are better than the rivals he faces here, and perhaps the first-time cheekpieces will eke out something extra; he can be bang there once more.

Suited by the step up to 6f with 2l Listed third to Arapaho Gold at Newbury (good to firm) last month and improved again when runner-up in Group 3 at Deauville (6f, good) since; bumped into an exciting filly in France and he could have a part to play; unraced on slow ground.

Won in good style at Thirsk on first two starts (5f/6f, good to firm) and took the rise in grade in his stride when making it 3-3 in Listed race at Newbury (6f, good to firm) last month; deserves extra credit for that neck win from a Godolphin colt as he was hampered early; there can be optimism that this highly likeable prospect will continue to progress; key player.

All four starts over 6f on good/good to firm; beaten only 2l when fading into seventh of 21 in the Group 2 Coventry at Royal Ascot and readily got off the mark when 1-6 for a maiden at Thirsk (6f, good) last Friday; this flat track could suit better than Ascot and he's not ruled out each-way.

From the family of French 1m/1m2f Group 1 winner Silasol and sent off at 1-3 when winning a match by a neck on debut at Ayr (6f, good to firm) last month; today's opposition is vastly tougher and lots of improvement is needed but he's from a powerful 2yo yard and a market move would be interesting.

Runner-up on debut (5f, AW) before going one better at Hamilton (5f, good), and he belied his 66-1 odds when keeping on for fine third in the Group 3 Molecomb at Glorious Goodwood (5f, good to firm) last month; the step up to 6f could be a positive and he might not be far away.

525,000gns yearling who is a brother to 7f Listed winner Saber Strike; he was the Aidan O'Brien second string when second of 19 at 14-1 on recent debut at the Curragh (6f, good to firm); takes a swift leap in grade here but he's the sole Ballydoyle runner and could be a very bright prospect.

Impressive on debut at Beverley (5f, good) in April and followed up by a short head from Ronson in a conditions race there (5f, good to firm) in May; a sizeable step forward is needed on this first run since but the Gimcrack has been the target and his trainer has won this four times; could go well.

£880,000 breeze-up buy who was runner-up to subsequent Group 2 winner Al Hudaiba on debut at Newmarket (6f, good) then won by nearly 3l at Lingfield (6f, good); beaten only 2l when eighth of 21 in the Group 2 Coventry at Royal Ascot (6f, good to firm) and he'd have finished a couple of places better but for being short of room late on; retains potential and is one to consider.

Promising third on debut over C&D (good) in May and built on that when third of 21 in the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot (5f, good to firm) two months ago; his strong finish last time firmly suggests today's return to 6f will be ideal and he's on the shortlist.

Went close on debut at Windsor (6f, good to firm) in June and made all at Ascot (6f, good to firm) last month; today is a much tougher test of his credentials but his dam was a 5f Listed winner and his respected trainer has stated he has "masses of scope to go on in the future"; not ruled out.

All four starts over 5f on good/good to firm; 5l win at Beverley on second run before near-miss behind Matteo there, and 2l fourth in Listed race at Sandown last time; it seems likely his limitations will again be exposed.
