Form & Verdict
Heavy defeat in Grade 2 novice over C&D (soft; won on it at Lingfield time before) brought her only defeat last term; good second when next seen on handicap debut at Bangor in November, albeit handing over the initiative when hesitant at the last, and return to 2m seemed against her at Newbury five weeks ago; may yet do better overall, which is needed.

Reserve; record of 3-4 in her first season (2023-24); good second in two of her three starts this term, latest at Ascot (2m3f); chance of going one better in this field partly depends on how well she responds to first-time headgear.

Form & Verdict
Transformed this autumn, winning three of those five maiden/novice races and second in the others; this is a much more demanding task but she was hugely on top at Ludlow (2m5f, good to soft) and Doncaster (2m3f, good) on last two outings and was runner-up on soft the time before.

Big improver this season in winning three times, the latest over 2m3f here on good (handles softer); another good run last time in a Listed race at Warwick (2m5f, soft) and her form is right up there in this company; the nagging concern is that she was keen and didn't get home over 3m at Windsor two runs back, although the ground was soft.

Others have a lot more substance to their form but she impressed when winning three mares' novice hurdles in the autumn (2m3f-2m5f, good/good to soft; also effective on soft) and failed to settle when fading over 3m last time; retains potential now back down in trip and none of the form horses arrive with rock-solid credentials; interesting contender.

Form & Verdict
Front-runner who won two handicaps at Ludlow (2m5f/3m, soft) last February, took second in a Listed event at Kempton (2m5f, good to soft) in November and won a handicap at Kempton (3m, good to soft; after wind surgery) at Christmas; this trip is probably shorter than ideal and a break of just eight days is a worry but she is well clear of the rest on form.

Three front-running hurdle wins in 2024 (2m5f/3m, soft/good to soft) and she was running pretty well in defeat towards the end of 2025; 10l second of four at Carlisle 17 days ago on chase debut, showing she has some way to go before she's matching today's rivals over fences.

Three front-running hurdle wins in 2024 (2m5f/3m, soft/good to soft) and she was running pretty well in defeat against fellow mares towards the end of 2025; receives 7lb from the males today and holds leading claims if taking to fences at the first attempt.

Form & Verdict
Usually held up these days; proved her stamina with a smooth handicap win at Warwick (2m5f, good to soft) on reappearance and backed up that form when fifth of 12 at Cheltenham (2m4f, good to soft) three weeks ago; last season's two wins were on soft (2m, one here) and she is firmly in the mix.

Didn't run badly when fourth of nine at Windsor (2m4f, soft) last month and she continues to edge down the weights; however, she needs something extra today's if she's to break her chasing duck at the eighth attempt.

Has slipped to 2lb below last winning hurdles mark but seems far from certain to take advantage, being a fairly exposed mare who has failed to show her form in two starts this season, taking chase record to 0-6; faces some progressive opponents.

Won first time out last season and it was the same this term when asserting under a 10lb claimer over C&D (heavy) four weeks ago; should give her running and has place chance despite being bottom of this pack on ratings.

Ran well on first four starts last season, latterly over an extended 2m7f, and she was back to that peak form when winning in clearcut style at Sandown (2m4f, heavy) six weeks ago under claimer Chad Bament; respected even though she's up 5lb and may well need a career best.

Form & Verdict
Made it 2-2 over hurdles last term and good, front-running second of six to Georgi Girl on handicap/seasonal debut at Warwick (2m5f, good to soft) in November; first win was on heavy ground in Ireland; needs improvement but being so lightly raced gives hope.

Runner-up in two of her three handicaps, most recently at Chepstow (2m7f, soft) in February; has won on good ground; this lightly raced 7yo could have more to offer and is one to consider.

Maiden and novice winner who showed her best form when front-running second at Warwick (2m5f, good to soft) in November on handicap debut; she followed that, however, with last of seven at Doncaster (2m3f) 15 days ago; new trip is plausible.

Verdict

Easily most seems to hinge on whether DELLA CASA LUNGA can produce the same sort of form she showed to win a 3m handicap at Kempton eight days ago, which is not her only form of that standard. It’s pretty tight among the rest but with Georgi Girl second best on form, while the improving novice Dameofthecotswolds and the back-up-in-trip Aston Martini might prove best of the rest.[Richard Austen]
