Verdict
Several have possibilities but the vote goes to SUBSTANTIAL, who made it 2-3 in handicaps with his comfortable win at Haydock in June and had an excuse at Thirsk last time. He still has potential and could resume his progress after a short break. Dual Polytrack winner Under The Twilight could pose the main threat, although it wouldn’t be a surprise if Brains made a bold bid on his step back up in trip. The others on the shortlist are Alooqaal and Golden Sands.[David Moon]
