Form & Verdict
Runner-up in this race last year and came good over fences with two wins at end of last season, the latter a notable success at the Punchestown festival (2m5f, good to yielding); didn't fire on last month's reappearance outing and Rex Dingle evidently prefers stablemate Credo today, but she still enters calculations.

Returned to form with small-field win in first-time visor at Carlisle (2m5f, soft) last month; remains on a workable mark and will be fine over today's longer trip but was struggling to keep up with Juniper before falling quite heavily at three out at Taunton (2m5f, soft) on latest outing.

Made it 2-2 at Carlisle (2m5f; both on soft) when winning the same race for the second time this month (first-time visor replaced blinkers, as today); acts on sharp right-handed tracks as well and, despite going back up 4lb, her first Carlisle win came off this mark; looks good for a big run.

Form & Verdict
Ran big race in defeat over C&D (good to soft) on last month's seasonal/chase debut and cruised clear of Flowing Cadenza to win easily off the same mark at Chepstow (2m7f, good to soft) a few days later; 13lb higher this time but needs to be taken very seriously in current mood.

Won from a long way out of the weights in first-time cheekpieces at Warwick (3m, heavy) in February and bounced back to form with 22l success on seasonal debut at Worcester (2m7f, good) in October; still well handicapped on older hurdling form but not an easy mare to predict.

Has won two chases at about 3m (on heavy and good) during the past year but very hit and miss, as she reminded us at Hereford only 12 days ago; well treated on her old hurdling form and would have each-way claims if fancying it this afternoon.

Form & Verdict
Dual hurdle winner when trained by Bob Buckler; had poor completion record over fences for that stable and was left behind by Credo when second on last month's seasonal/stable debut at Chepstow (2m7f, good to soft) but remains on a good mark and may yet come good for Venetia Williams.

Bettered low-key chasing debut when clear second here (2m5f, good) in October and last month's run at Lingfield (2m4f, soft) was a fair bit better than her eventual 50l defeat might suggest; still unexposed under rules but others appeal more all the same.

Form & Verdict
Didn't make any significant further progress after winning Catterick novice hurdle (1m7f, soft) last December and has been safely held in two chases this season, latterly when behind Credo and Flowing Cadenza at Chepstow three weeks ago; needs a boost from the first-time cheekpieces here.

Back over hurdles for her last three races (2m4f-3m2f) and found just one too good in the penultimate one; had no excuses when beaten 24l in the latest and she has a modest strike-rate.

Form & Verdict
Mixes chasing with hurdling; returned from break with three pretty good efforts this autumn (2m5f-2m7f) but ran poorly in Chepstow race won by Credo last month and might be vulnerable to stronger stayers here; cheekpieces refitted.

Placed twice over 2m7f at Chepstow (good to soft) in the autumn and put a poor run behind her when third there (2m, soft) last month; today's trip on a right-handed track also suits; probably won't be far away.

Verdict

Credo looked in excellent nick when slamming FLOWING CADENZA and another couple of these at Chepstow last month and could still have a lot more to offer over fences. She is not opposed with any confidence but Flowing Cadenza was making her seasonal debut that day and, with this just her second run for Venetia Williams, she may make enough progress to give her stable a fourth consecutive win in this quite valuable series final. Lilith is next on the list.[Chris Wilson]
